- A significant chunk of the infobook is now in translated: Locations, Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, G-Rank Armors, and the new Felyne Whim Skills.

Some event conversations(the people with the … on their head after u finish certain quests) are still not translated such as that retired hunter just past your house
I don’t know if it’s a problem to everyone but when I go to continue my character sometimes doesnt show up on the file page but its that important because it does show up in the game

Same thing as the 2.5 patch: It says “Press the O botton” when you finish the media install.

I appreciate all that you do, really. It’s great that you’re going through all this trouble for all us non-Japanese speaking hunters.
What’s irking me, though, is that you’re saying you don’t want any money, but the play-asia link is an affiliation link tied to an account that receives 6% of each sale. It’s just something to think about.

hey good work on the patch it really makes monster hunter easier for those who can’t read japanese. however for me the felyne elder is still in japanese and not english. does anyone have any idea on what i should do about this?

I found a very interesting problem with this patch. The item descriptions after Volganos Thick Scale are off by one, as in, the Volganos Hvy Cpc has the same description as the Thick Scale, and all the items after have the description of the item before it, so the fin has the description of the Heavy Carapice, The Volganos Ticket has the description of the Fin +, etc. It keeps on going even to the gems. It doesn’t affect game play, though.

sorry but for some reason the patch dont seem to work for me. some of the things from 2.5 are still not in, like the kitchen, and the info magazine is pretty much still in japanese 100%, and for the felyne elder on the name of the location was translated. any instructions

There’s problems with a few of the descriptions,
In the guild quests (not sure if its called that but its the ones in the gathering halls):
-the maps have the description of “A glittering Gold Egg. Incredibly expensive and rare. No use to a hunter.”
-the mini whetstones have the description of “A Guild BBQ spit for noice hunters.”
-the first-aid med have the description of “A map that shows the topography of the region.”
-rations have the description of “Medicine that restores a small amount of Health”
Everything still works though, so its all good. Anyway, thanks for the translation patch you’re doing a great job!

There’s a 4 star quest in the Hunter’s Guild that is mis-translated. The Quest Objective says “Slay less that 2 Shogun Ceanataurs” when it should say “Slay at least 2 Shogun Ceanataurs”

It almost complete!
I notice that in weapon Maelstrom G (a light bowgun). It says Rapid Fire with Freeze S, but in the game that weapon has Rapid Fire with Water S.
I don’t know if theres other error like this in the bowgun’s, but if I find another I’ll tell you.
I can’t wait for the next patch!!

i know this isnt up your guys’ alley, as you dont have any control over the dlc aspect of 2g, but does anyone have any idea what the quests are?? i managed to get that teostra quest for the priate j set XD but still, it is a bit difficult. so what i thought, is since you guys probably know what certain words look like in japanese, maybe you could release a kind of one to one correspondence image file, with like say for example, the word in japanese for “rathalos”, and then across from it of course, the english word for “rathalos”. just an idea though, by no means a request, you guyz already do so much for us, and i want you to know how much i appreciate it. thankyou <3

AngelArm1110…you need to go to gamefaqs.com and look at their Board on Monster Hunter 2nd G and there is a post about the download quests
as for 73N5H1 “Slay 2 or more Shogun Ceanataurs” sound better and this actually needs to be applied to the other quests that are like it…though its not really necessary

sorrrrry but i have a serious problem here. really appreciate it if you could help me with it.
i have dled the patch and everything and it shows up successfully as well.
when i run it, everything goes accordingly to plan and everything seems correct to me.
i get brought to a screen that says: select your iso: (but nthing under this column, i carn select anything
select your language: which i switched to english
and “Patch”
so after clicking patch, it takes less than 1 second and then it says patch complete.
but when i run the game, it is still in Japanese.
ARGH how? help appreciated!

I think you are using CSO instead if ISO. Convert it to ISO with UMDGen.

The 3 star guild quest are wrongly translated. I selected a quest which told me to kill a buldrome but i had to kill rathlos and rathian instead.

Felyne Fighters convos is the only thing we have not translated for the felyne fighters stuff.
As for the tickets and the items, it is translated in our earlier versions. I think in our first release. If you are talking about the items and tickets desc. Yes, we have not translated all of them. It will be in our next release.

I’m having an issue.
So I downloaded the file and I don’t get an ISO file, I get a couple of LGG files and a PBP file and a picture. Do I have to install ALL of the patches to get it to work??? >_< I really don’t get it.
Plus, any time I follow the instructions online, it always comes up as just corrupted data on my PSP. Any help?

the file you download here is only a patch
you ned to get the iso out of either your own UMD dumped to your harddrive then up to your memory card
or you can dl an iso somewhere (if you own the game ^_^)
ISO goes in the iso folder of your already CFW using psp
the patch in the GAME folder
run it from the psp from the mem card
patch it
delete the patch
good hunting
hope a new patch comes out soon lol its been 2 months
